Praloy Chakraborty

I graduated from Kolkata Medical College, India, and trained in General Medicine at Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, India. I completed my Cardiology training at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi, India. After briefly working as a general Cardiologist at Vardaman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi, I moved to Canada to pursue training in adult cardiac electrophysiology at Toronto General Hospital and the University Health Network from 2018 to 2022. Additionally, I obtained an MSc in Medical Science at the Institute of Medical Science, University of Toronto. I completed research training at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, USA, with a special focus on autonomic modulations for cardiovascular diseases. My clinical interests include cardiovascular autonomic dysfunction, cardiac ion channel disorders, and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. I have published widely in major peer-reviewed journals, and my research interests include auricular vagal neuromodulation therapy for cardiovascular disorders, role of cardiac metabolism and calcium signaling in arrhythmias, and strategies to improve phenotyping and risk stratification in inherited arrhythmia and cardiomyopathy syndromes.
