Stephanie Buryk

Stephanie Buryk-Iggers is a PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education. Her research is primarily focused on exercise and rehabilitation therapy as a treatment modality for Ehlers Danlos Syndromes. Prior to her PhD, Stephanie was a research assistant with the hyperbaric medicine unit at Toronto General Hospital where she studied the effect of rehabilitation exercises under hyperbaric oxygen conditions for recovery from chronic stroke. She also held the role as research trainee at the Hospital for Sick Children, for which she supported research in the hospital’s Exercise Stress Echocardiography program. Stephanie completed her master's in biomedical engineering and is dedicated to the advancement of clinical research, programming and technology in furthering treatment for chronic diseases.
